Peter is an arts manager and designer based in Dublin, Ireland. He is networked with directorship, curatorial, design, residency management, production and financial management experience. He holds an M.Phil in Art History from Trinity College Dublin and a Degree in Design & from IADT. He was co-founder and director of theMonster Truck Gallery & Studios, a Dublin-based gallery and studio that produced in excess of 30 curated exhibitions and facilitated numerous artists at its studio facility. The organisation was steered from a small collective into a significant player within Ireland’s cultural sector and expedited new works by Irish and international artists during these periods. He was interim Head of Audiences and Development at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in 2019; sitting within an 8 person senior management team. He is a Leonardo member of Science Gallery Dublin, advises on acquisitions and gallery management for organisations such as Trinity College Dublin, the Office of Public Works and thekevin kavanagh Gallery. He published a book on artist residencies and public sculpture, titled ‘Declarations of Abstraction, Welded Abstract Sculpture, Ireland, 1970s and 1980s’ in 2015 and has written on visual art for various publications, including Totally Dublin and Irish Art Review.
